There is a glass for every every type of cocktail and each one is designed to enhance a specific drink. With cocktails, a too large glass gives the drink more to loose its chill and initial zest, so an average size cocktail glass of 6oz is the best. Long drinks that call for ice and a mixer require glasses large enough to hold a scoop of ice plus the drink itself. Feel free to improvise when it comes to glassware.
