The Averna Cream is an unexpected and interesting new product. This is the first launch for the 144-year-old company since 2008’s Averna Sambuca. Averna Cream debuted in Italy in the fall of 2012, aimed at pleasing a younger audience, and is a blend of sweet cream with the taste of traditional Averna Amaro—creating a new subcategory called Cremamaro. 17% ABV. It can be served as an aperitif over a couple of ice cubes, as an after dinner or as a tantalizing frozen shot on nights out.
