campari-new-bottleCampari is the result of the talent of Gaspare Campari, master drink maker and the founder of the company. The history of Campari began in Novara in 1860, with the invention of the original recipe that is still in use today. In 1904 Campari’s first production plant was opened in Sesto San Giovanni and the company began to export the brand overseas. It was the beginning of a success story that has no sign of stopping. Campari is obtained from a hydro-alcoholic infusion introducing alcohol and water in a mixture of herbs, plants and fruits. Alcohol, sugar and water are the only known ingredients of its special and secret recipe. Remaining loyal to the original formula and keeping it strictly confidential, is one of the company’s missions. This recipe is why Campari has always been characterized by a peculiar taste and by a brilliant red colour: the Campari red. Today the Campari brand is distributed in over 190 countries and is one of the most famous recognized drink in the world.

The Campari flavour is an acquired taste. It has an unmistakably unique alcoholic aroma with complex, herbal, orange and floral scents. On the palate the flavour is pleasantly bitter with intense orange and herbal fragrances, and typical woody notes, and finishing with a long velvety herbal aftertaste.

NEGRONI

The drink was supposedly invented between 1919 and 1920 in Florence by bartender Luca Picchi and Count Camillo Negroni. When at Caffè Casoni, the count used to order his Americano cocktail with an extra shot of gin. From that time on, the cocktail was named after its “inventor”. This drink has the right amount of sweetness and bitterness for the perfect aperitivo.
