Avocado Colada –  Rich & Exotic

Avocado is not an ingredient that comes to mind often when talking about cocktails. Avocado is a tropical fruit, native to Mexico and Central America. It has a strange semi-rough skin with yellow to green flesh and a delectable buttery texture. Its delicate flavour goes well with many other tropical ingredients such as rum, tequila, coconut, mango hazelnut, and chocolate. The original Avocado Colada recipe is from the book ‘Viva Margarita‘ by W.Park Kerr. We added the coconut tequila to give a subtle sweetness to that concoction. This is an awesome, luscious and very rich cocktail with a subtle sweet flavour, and citrus tones. Put the final result in the freezer a make it a Frozen Avocado Colada.
