About the Recipe
Bijou is a classic cocktail from the 1900s. It is said to have been created by Harry Johnson, and at least he was the first to write down the recipe. Some evidences suggest that the recipe was being mixed earlier when bartenders first began mixing vermouth in the late 1860. Bijou means Jewel in English.
