Coconut Jack Martini

Ingredients

2 oz Coconut Flavoured Rum
1 oz Jackfruit syrup
1/4 oz Chartreuse Yellow

Convert Units

Shake & Strain

1. Prepare your martini glass by rimming it with coconut flakes.

2. Fill a mixing glass with ice.

3. Pour in coconut rum, jackfruit syrup, and yellow Chartreuse .

4. Shake.

5. Strain into the rimmed glass.

EXECUTION NOTE

You need a thick syrup such as corn or maple for a rimming agent.

Variation

You could use Izarra herbal liqueur or Elixir d"Anvers instead of Chartreuse. Substitute Licor 43 for the Chartreuse for an overall slightly sweeter cocktail.

Vegetal, herb, and spice liqueurs are unique and intense drinks. Chartreuse liqueur was created by the Carthusian monks. The order received a gift from the Marshall of Artillery of King Henry IV of France. The gift was a manuscript entitled Elixir de Longue Vie, and it contained the recipe for a drink that would become world-famous.
