The Dubonnet Cocktail is a classic aperitif with a charming red colour. The citrus and juniper flavours of the gin reinforce the complex herbs of the Dubonnet vermouth in a neat combination of delightful flavours. In the mid 1850s, Joseph Dubonnet, a Parisian drinks supplier mixed dry white wine with ‘Vin Doux Naturel’ and flavoured the mixture with quinine, orange peel, herbs, plants, and a sweetener. The result is Dubonnet.
