Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Dubonnet Rouge
1/2 oz St-Remy brandy
1/2 oz Gin London Dry
1/2 oz Chartreuse Yellow

Build

1. Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice.

2. Pour in Dubonnet, brandy, gin, and yellow Chartreuse.

3. Garnish with half orange slice.

Variation

Substitute Galliano for the yellow Chartreuse. Keep in mind that Galliano is a little bit sweeter than yellow Chartreuse.

Rouge is a variation of the classic Dubonnet Cocktail from the 1930s. Dubonnet has fallen into obscurity in the recent years, but Vermouths are back in vogue. Rouge is a complex drink combining Dubonnet rouge, brandy, gin, and yellow Chartreuse to add a subtle herbal tone.
