Rum Sundowner – Highball

Ingredients

2 oz Mount Gay dark rum
1/2 oz Amaretto Liqueur
1/4 oz Orgeat syrup
Soda water

Build

1. Fill a tall highball glass with ice.

2. Pour in dark rum, amaretto, and orgeat syrup.

3. Fill up with soda water.

4. Garnish with lime.

NOTE

Orgeat syrup – a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar, and rosewater or orange flower water.

Variation

Use light rum instead of the dark rum.

A Sundowner is an alcoholic drink taken after completing the day’s work, usually at sundown. The Rum Sundowner cocktail is a refreshing libation for anytime of the day.
