Vesper martini cocktail. In the first James Bond novel, Agent 007 favorite martini is a mix of gin, vodka, and Lillet with a lemon twist called ‘The Vesper’. This martini was shaken not stirred. From the book: “A dry martini” (Bond) said. “One in a deep champagne goblet…Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it well until it’s very cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?”
