Génépi is a French aromatic herbal liqueur similar to absinthe. It is often spelled Génépy. It includes wormwood, the hallucinogenic ingredient that led to the banning of absinthe in France and elsewhere in the 19yh century. The liqueur has strong aromas and flavours of herbs and grass. Drink this liqueur straight up as a shot or mix with water like pastis.
