The French Quicky is a pre-dinner cocktail with a bright red colour. This lovely apéritif  is quick and simple to make, combining equal amounts of gin, red and white Dubonnet.  Dubonnet is a French  vermouth that is primarily drunk as an apéritif. Mid 1800’s, Joseph Dubonnet, a drinks supplier, mixed dry white wine with Vin Doux natural (natural sweet wine), quinine, orange peel, and botanical, then he matured the mixture for three years. Three varieties are produced: sweeter and richer red, the drier white, and semi-sweet gold.
