Link up martini was created in 1975 by Joe Gilmore to mark the American and Russian link up in space, the Apollo-Soyuz project. Southern Comfort is an American bourbon-based liqueur flavoured with peach,  orange, herbs, and spices. It has a medium-body with semi-sweet fruit flavours, and a spirit finish. Southern Comfort was created in 1874 by a young barman of Rue Bourbon in New Orleans, and it was aimed specially at a new market, southern belles.
