The name of this cocktail is from the letters of both ingredients: Dubonnet & Brandy. Try it over ice as a substitute to a Dubonnet Cocktail. The flavour of D&B is slightly reminiscent of sherry. Brandy is a dark spirit that has gone through periods of under used in cocktails. What a shame because it mixes up like a dark champion in cocktails ranging from sparkling to elegant vintage cocktails.
