About the Recipe
Death After Eight sparkling cocktail is our modern version of the classic Death In The Afternoon. This recipe used common ingredients that are found in most bars. Pernod is an absinthe substitute made by Pernod et Fils, France, a company that has produced true absinthe before France banned it in 1914. We used a good quality sparkling wine instead of Champagne. This sparkling cocktail is refreshing, fruity with a mild anise flavour on the finish.
