Jianzhuang Caesar – Highball

Ingredients

2 oz Jianzhuang Baijiu
3 Drops Tabasco hot sauce
3 Drops Worcestershire sauce
Pinch of Salt & Pepper
Clamato juice

Build

1. Rim a highball glass with a celery salt & pepper mix.

2. Fill the glass with ice.

3. Pour in Jianzhuang baijiu.

4. Add a few drops of hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of salt & pepper.

5. Fill the glass with Clamato juice.

6. Garnish with a lime wedge and a pickled asparagus.

Jianzhuang Caesar – East meets West, a modern version of the classic Canadian Caesar cocktail. Baijiu is the most widely drunk hard liquor in the world, but barely found on cocktail menus in the West. JianZhuang is an overproof gin style white spirits with a very strong aromas. It is distilled in traditional methods with 5 choice grains including sorghum, sticky rice, rice, wheat and corn. This liquor is uniquely characterized by “complex with a powerful, sour Granny Smith apple aroma & taste, and a harmonious finish”. This is a great concoction for the adventurous cocktailians.
