Movie Dead Reckoning – 1947
War heroes Rip Murdock ( Humphrey Bogart ) and Johnny Drake are on a train to a Washington DC awards ceremony when Drake disappears. A confounded and curious Murdock pursues his pal, only to discover that he had ounce been convicted for murder, and joined the army under an assumed name. Drake is killed, leaving Murdock determined to hunt down his killer.
